Our Story
Piper
Bryghton and I met at Eastern Shore District High School, in band class. We were both involved in performing arts extracurriculars, and we carpooled home some nights. It took a while for both of us to work up the nerve, but we made plans for a double date. Before the night was over, I took a chance and stole a kiss from him. Unfortunately, I was like “oh dear, I really like him” and because I’d never felt that way before, I decided to pretend I didn’t.
In February of 2016, we sat down before one of our shows and finally had a deep conversation about how we both felt. We started dating that evening and have been together since! On our first official date, Bryghton took me to the rooftop of the Westin Hotel in Halifax for a breathtaking view – that was the first of many adventures together.
Last July, he took me down a beautiful hiking path overlooking the Saskatchewan River, in Devon. I wore the wrong shoes and was so busy fussing about the steep path down to the river that I didn’t notice what he was up to. When I turned around to grab his hand, he was down on one knee. By the time we walk down the aisle, we’ll have spent more than 7 years together. Wow! We are ready for the next chapter in our lives.
