All the accolades I had seen for this book are so well deserved. Pam Jenoff’s smooth, compelling voice wove a glorious “spider’s web” (circus term I just learned) that captured my mind and heart. So beautifully begun and ended, and yet I could have gone on reading for days. The subject matter was so unique, so expertly researched (though Ms Jenoff is clear that a lot of the writing was pure fiction – and yet it felt perfectly real), that it completely captivated me, from the emotional prologue to the painful yet satisfying ending and every page in between.
I loved this and “The Lost Girls of Paris” and now can’t wait to read Ms Jenoff’s backlist!
