This book is what historical fiction is meant to be. As usual, Kristin Hannah’s incredible skills are on full display: her research is impeccable, but her true gift is in bringing that past alive through very real, compelling stories and characters I will never forget. The Women of Vietnam deserved this kind of heartfelt, heartbreaking, acknowledgment and respect. We see you. There WERE women in Vietnam, and thank goodness we have finally come to a place in history that we can hold them up for the heroes they were. Thank you, Kristin, for an incredible journey.
